Have you heard about the bee declines? Do you want to know more about how pollination works and how you can help the bees?
Washington
State University and University of Idaho Entomology Departments are
coming together to host a Solitary Bee Hotel Workshop, a family-friendly
community outreach and educational event about the pollinators of the
Palouse region. At this workshop, you will learn the basics of
pollination and how YOU can help promote native bees and other
pollinating insects in your community. Each ticket purchased includes
the construction of ONE Solitary Bee Hotel that you can bring home to
provide pollinator habitat in your yard, farm or garden. A group of up
to 5 participants are welcome with each ticket purchased. Each ticket
purchased will raise funds for our two Entomology groups, the WSU
Entomology Graduate Student Association and the University of Idaho
Aldrich Entomology Club.
Come join us in making the Palouse a pollinator-friendly environment! Limited space available.
